Here AGAIN!

How did I get here again?

Feelings lost and uncertain about decisions I have made. Frustrated with systems and programs.

Lost…

Working for my salvation instead of basking in His love.

Why did I allow this to happen?

It’s like turning down the same street everyday knowing it is a cul-de-sac and not a way out. Finding myself making another u-turn to get back in line with His love and purpose for my life.

Does the why matter?

Working for validation is something I have struggled with my whole life.

Don’t we all want to know what we are doing is worth while and fruitful?

Fruitful does not equate to numbers or does it?

I have felt this stirring in my soul before. I can easily get upset at myself for allowing myself to go down this similar path again and I can even force myself to stick it out despite the stirring in the pit of my stomach that is telling me to jump.

Basking in His love does NOT mean filling my day with meetings, planning and working.

Basking means sitting and allowing the rays of His love to shine on you warming you from the inside out.

How can we even bask if we can NOT sit long enough to be still and know that He is God?

This cross-road has come before me again and this time I will NOT push the feeling down to see my commitment through because I know in my heart it will leave me frustrated, exhausted and bitter.

I must live in His love and NOT work for His love.

deep *sigh*

I find myself sitting AGAIN at His feet clinging to this passage:

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30 The Message

Friend, are you working for your salvation and His love?

He is calling you to sit and be still.

He is waiting for you to exhale and rest at His feet. The only true place you can find peace and rest.

Join me there.. sitting and basking in His love.
